So I have recently become fascinated by mermaids. Weird, I know. I never knew the theory of mermaids was as deep as it is.
So I was working on one of my projects on my Turbo and Superman blog and I came across an interesting articles about these mercreatures. It's written by Heinz Insu Fenkl. Heinz is an author, editor, translator, mythic scholar, and the director of the Creative Writing Program at the State University of New York, New Paltz. He is also the director of ISIS: The Interstitial Studies Institute at SUNY, New Paltz. And Heinz was so kind as to answer a difficult question I had for one of my 7 Questions blogs.
This article points out pop culture and everyday aspects of our lives that involve mermaids. It's interesting! So take a look and tellmewhatyouthink.

Three College Football Myths to Stay Away From
This ESPN article talks about some major problems the NCAA doesn't seem to be dealing with as well as they could. Dumping the BCS for tournament-style? Coaching jobs? And the problem with Heisman voting. (Some of the voters don't even vote!) This is a great article. I love the way he describes the inability of the BCS.

TV-Links died but TV-Stream is born
The late, and great TV-Links.co.uk is gone. Dead or missing, I'm not sure; but there is a replacement. TV-Stream is a new TV host site with tons of movies available and a small, but growing number of TV shows. So check it out! And tellmewhatyouthink.
I recommend:
The Office
Flight of the Conchords
My Name is Earl

Scrubs
Arrested Development
30 Rock

Cyanide and Happiness
Comics to the max. But to what end? To the max.
These over-the-top, 70% inappropriate comic artists are great for a much needed laugh and reality check. Everyday a new comic comes out and they always leave you wanting more. Some of these comics are not for the easily-offended so just be careful. And watch out for "Depressing Week." It's depressing. Have fun! Tellmewhatyouthink.

Flight of the Conchords
For those of you that love dry humor and music, you must partake of the TV series Flight of the Conchords.
Jermaine and Bret are New Zealanders trying to make it as a band in the US. (New York City more specifically) These episodes are hilarious. The episodes are a lot like Seinfield but with a slight plot line. The humor is very different from Seinfield though. It's a very dry humor. But the biggest difference from typical television is their sporadic music video/novelty performances during the course of the episode's plot line. Their music is odd and weird but totally interesting and catchy. It somehow has artistic quality. So basically, it's not at all like Seinfield.
So watch these short video clips of their episodes and music:
If you're into it
Bret you got it going on
Bowie episode
Performance of "Business Time"
(This one is probably the best, or Bret you got it going on)
"The Humans are Dead"
For the record -- Kelly Russell introduced these guys to me.
