We'll Miss You Brett

Brett Favre retired this week after 17 seasons of NFL football. I remember Favre as being one of the toughest quarterbacks ever. He was gutsy and loved the game like a young boy loves his Tonka trucks. Favre holds some admirable records -- he's the only 3 time MVP, 160 career victories, 442 touchdown passes, and 61,655 yards passing. Not too shabby.

Favre says he still has gas in the tank, but he doesn't think it'd be fair on him, his family and teammates if he tried to push through for another season. It is sad to see such a good athlete and such a good guy leave the world of professional sports, but it is time. I think everyone saw it coming. We will miss the tenacity of Favre; there's not another quarterback like him.
