This has been my work computer background for a long time. I just recently switched it to the K-Mart Rendition of Will Ferrell.

One (Schrute/Hero) Buck
At work, there's contest for who can make the best "Hero Buck." They are doing some new Associate Focus Group tactic that involves giving associates a "Hero Buck" whenever a good deed is done or something like that. So I decided to enter the contest and this is what I came up with. (That's my boss in the middle.)
And yes, I stole the design from my favorite TV show- The Office. It originally was a Schrute Buck and looked like this.
(And Danna helped me with the picture in Photoshop. What would I do without her?)

10 Movies That Must Be Seen On the Big Screen (One Day)
10. Indiana Jones and the...
These historical-mystery movies are fun and exciting, but for optimal entertainment, you have to see that huge stone rock rolling for Harrison Ford on a big screen.
9. Fight Club
"I am Jack's movie that must be seen on the big screen." Tyler Durden and Project Mayhem toss you through a world of twists, beatings and masculine adrenaline rushes. The fights and destruction caused by Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt) are big enough to deserve to be on a big screen. Plus, you won't really get the full effect of Tyler Durden's personal subliminal messages throughout the film otherwise.
8. Saving Private Ryan
The best war movie ever made is a must on a big screen. Storming the beaches of Normandy with Tom Hanks while bullets are killing soldiers everywhere you look is a widescreen perspective you need. My dad wanted me to watch this movie to understand war and that requires watching it on a big screen.
7. The 6th Sense
M. Night Shyamalan's first big hit is perfect for the big screen. Life-like ghosts, scared little kids, Bruce Willis -- all great on the big screen. This is one of those rare, genuinely scary movies that can make everyone in the audience stiffened up in suspense. "I can see dead people better on big screens."
6. The Wizard of Oz
The Wizard of Oz is one of the best musicals, if not best movie, of all-time. The transitions between black-and-white to color, the singing munchkins, scarecrows, witches, lions, tigers and bears, oh my!, make this film an obvious must for the big screen. If you want to see those red slippers really shine, you'll see this on a big screen.
5. ET: Extra Terrestrial
This movie was my parents' first date; and consequently, has always been a big picture must in my mind. It has recently occurred that I might be the only one who thinks this movie should be seen on the big screen. But I do know that ET would want to see it on the big screen, too. "ET phone Elliott and he want big screen too."
4. It's A Wonderful Life
An all-time classic seen larger will make you feel the Christmas spirit even more. "You've been given a great gift, George (James Stewart): A chance to see what the world would be like without you [on the big screen]." -Clarence
3. King Kong
Who doesn't want to see a giant gorilla scale skyscrapers in New York City and then swat at airplanes like flies as he tries to spend time with his woman? King Kong deserves to be on this list more than any other movie, but it ranks at #3 because Peter Jackson's King Kong, while amazing and very well done, is ridiculously too long.
2. Cloverfield
This movie has a film style you will not see with any other movie. Cloverfield puts you into the movie almost literally. The movie feels like you're holding the camcorder and seeing everything through the camcorder's lens. Not mention the fact that there's a huge monster destroying New York City and you're, I mean the characters, are stuck in the middle of the fiasco. This movie is probably in the dollar theaters right now and I highly recommend you see it on the big screen while you can.
1. Grindhouse
Robert Rodriguez and Quentin Tarantino's masterpiece re-make of the over-the-top, gory 1970s films. Grindhouse is actually a double-feature of Death Proof and Planet Terror. The movie's retro introduction slides and intermission's mock-trailers alone make this film worth the price of admission. But the two films are very good and very 1970s-looking. I love it when the film catches on fire right in the middle of the movie and how grainy and splotchy the film looks. It feels exactly how I would imagine a 1970s film would feel.

March Madness Update
I'm currently #2 with my bracket in this year's pool I'm playing in, but I'm staying optimistic. The current #1 guy has Duke going to the finals. Haha. My final four teams are still in it. Go Texas, UNC, UCLA, and Kansas. I have UNC winning it all and with their 100 point plus games, it is looking good.
I'm not too worried about the UNC vs. Louisville match-up or the Davidson/Wisconsin vs. Kansas match-up, but I am a little worried about the UCLA vs. Xavier match-up and the South section's Elite Eight possibilities. I'm thinking the South will have Texas and....this is tough....Memphis. Memphis and Michigan State are a toss up. Memphis, I feel, is overrated and didn't play like a #1 seed against Mississippi State. Michigan State is playing like true underdog, and beat a very good Pittsburgh team. In the west, Xavier is doing very well and they might have a chance against a relatively unchallenged UCLA team. As nice as it'd be to have a team like Xavier go to the final four, I'm going to pull for UCLA because of my bracket. Sorry Xavier!
Go Tar Heels!

Galaxy Quest Gems
While doing a little movie research for another post I'm working on, I discovered something I thought was interesting and at least a little bit cool.
Do you remember the movie Galaxy Quest starring Tim Allen? It wasn't great but it had some pretty decent actors in it. My favorite actor in the movie was Rainn Wilson, most known as Dwight Schrute from the TV series The Office. He plays the role of Lahnk, one of the weird alien foursome. Another notable actor from that awkward foursome is Jed Rees. I know that name probably doesn't ring a bell; it didn't when I read it. But his face is one of those faces. I remembered it from somewhere, and after a couple minutes of thinking, I remembered. He is Glen from The Ringer starring Johnny Knoxville and Brian Cox. The Ringer was a movie worth seeing twice in your life, maybe. The only reason I remember it is because my cousin Jeremy is obsessed with it; and consequently, I've seen it over the twice-a-life limit.
Those were the first two actors I noticed, but then I saw more really good actors. A lot more. Here are the rest of the crop:
- Alan Rickman- Snape in the Harry Potter movie series, Love Actually, Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber on Fleet Street, and Dogma.
- Tony Shalhoub- Most popular recently for starring in the TV show "Monk." Also known for 1408, the voice of Luigi in Cars, Men in Black 1 and 2, and Spy Kids 1 and 2.
- Sam Rockwell- Assassination of Jesse James, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Matchstick Men, and he played the head thug in the 1990 original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
- Missi Pyle- To me, she seemed to be in every third movie I saw, but I don't think I'd ever heard her name before. She's in the Johnny Depp Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Dodgeball, Along Came Polly and Big Fish. But you'll probably notice her more on TV since she has made appearances on Mad About You, The Drew Carey Show, Friends, Ally McBeal, Fraiser, Two and a Half Men, Heroes, Boston Legal, The Sarah Silverman Program, and My Name is Earl. whew!
- Justin Long- This is the guy from those PC vs. Mac commercials, but he is in so many other things, too. He's one of my favorite actors. You might know him from movies such as Live Free Die Hard, Idiocracy, Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, Accepted, The Break-Up, Herbie Fully Loaded, Dodgeball, Jeepers Creepers (and II), and Waiting.
- Corbin Bleu- The High School Musical sidekick. Besides being in the two HSM movies and the third one coming soon, Corbin can only claim a small role in Mystery Men.
- J. P. Manoux- I'd never heard of him either, until I saw what he'd been involved in, and then I recognized him. You might know him by his roles in Knocked Up as Dr. Angelo, the voice of Randall on Monsters, Inc., the voice of Scrappy Rex on Scooby-Doo, the voice of Kuzco on Emperor's New Groove, Meet the Fockers, The Day After Tomorrow, Eurotrip, and Malibu's Most Wanted. He is similar to Missi with his TV appearances, too. He's been in ER, Monk, Crossing Jordan, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, Smallville, Reno 911, Charmed, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, Will and Grace, King of Queens, Angel, The Drew Carey Show, Just Shoot Me, 3rd Rock from the Sun, and Goosebumps.
- Matt Winston- I remember him from the annoying MC guy on Little Miss Sunshine, and the insurance agent guy from I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry. He was also in Zodiac, Kicking and Screaming, About Schmidt, Artificial Intelligence, and a small part in Fight Club. Matt is also a TV regular with appearances in JAG, That 70s Show, CSI, Monk, Scrubs, Reno 911, Medium, Bones, Friends and Grey's Anatomy.
- Isaac C. Singleton, Jr.- I only know him from two small roles: the US Marshall that tasers Adam Sandler on Anger Management and his role in Pirates of the Caribbean: curse of the Black Pearl.

My New Favorite Actress - Jenna Fischer
So someone asked me who I thought was the hottest actress right now, and I had a hard time coming up with an answer. Most people say Jessica Alba, or Jessica Simpson, or Kate Hudson, or Paris Hilton, but I think all those girls are stupid. I have a hard time thinking a girl is attractive when I can't get over how incredibly dumb they are. (I don't think Kate Hudson is that dumb; I kinda like her.)
This week I'm showcasing one of my all-time favorite actresses, Jenna Fischer; or should I say, Pam? Jenna is one of the main characters of the hit show The Office starring Steve Carrell, John Krasinski, B. J. Novak and Rainn Wilson. This is my most favorite TV show ever I think, and Pam is a big part of that.
Jenna grew up in the Midwest and graduated from Truman State University in Missouri. She made her acting debut with the film 1998 Born Champion. From there, Jenna wrote and co-directed Lollilove, a mock-documentary that I hear is surprisingly hilarious. It is near the top of my list of movies I need to see. Lollilove was co-directed with her now-separated husband James Gunn. He is most known for his writing of Slither, Dawn of the Dead, Scooby-Doo 1 and 2, and The Specials. In 2007 Jenna was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy for her cute role of Pam in The Office.
Here are some other interesting facts I found out about Jenna:

Here are some other interesting facts I found out about Jenna:
- Took her first acting class with Sean Gunn (who stars as Kirk on WB's "Gilmore Girls" (2000) at the age of six in St. Louis, Missouri. The class was taught by her mother, Anne Fischer. Jenna and Sean stayed in touch over the years and in October 2000 she married his brother, writer/director James Gunn.
- #37 in People Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful, 2006 issue.
- Auditioned for the role of Sydney Bristow in "Alias" (2001), but was never called back. She later said, "They said they liked my acting but I wasn't hot enough.
- Worked as a receptionist in various offices. Types 85 WPM with 90% accuracy.
- Fractured her back in four places after falling down a set of stairs at the NYC bar, Baddakan, on May 15, 2007.
